What is the difference between a 'basisschool', a 'lagere school' and a 'kleuterschool'?
- A 'kleuterschool' (nursery school) offers nursery education for children aged 2.5 to 6 years.
- A 'lagere school' (primary school) offers primary education for children aged 6 to 12 and comprises 6 consecutive school years.
- Nursery and primary education together form 'basisonderwijs'. Only schools in which both nursery and primary education are organized may call themselves a 'basisschool'.
