To register for the first grade of primary school, children must have attended a Dutch-speaking nursery school. Is that correct?

Children can only enter the first grade of a Dutch-speaking primary school if they have regularly attended a Dutch-speaking nursery school for one full year first.

If a child did not attend nursery school on a regular basis, the class council of the primary school will decide whether or not the child in question can enter the first grade.
